For those not at the Business Meeting, the following information will be of interest. The Air Force History office is offering books on the Vietnam war, free of charge, to active duty and retied military members. You can only request them via the internet and all the information is provided below. Most of the board has already received theirs and they provide some different perspectives.

UPDATE:  The demand outstripped the available copies and that the book is now only available as a download.
 so the book is out of print. That means, there are no more free copies. I do not know the status of the supply at GPO. It is available as a free download in PDF format at the Air Force History web site. The old site still works, http://www.airforcehistory.hq.af.mil/ although it will migrate soon to http://www.af.mil/history/publications/index.asp  which has some of our publications but not all.  Sorry, but we will probably not be reprinting any paper copies in the future. Active Duty, Retired, National Guard, Reserve, and current DOD civilians may receive one paperback copy of each book FREE of charge by sending an email to Debra.Moss@pentagon.af.mil along with your name, rank, service, which category (Active Duty, Retired, National Gurad, etc.), number of years of service, and your complete mailing address. This does not apply to veterans who are not retired.

Veterans who are not retired, and any others must purchase the books from the U.S. Government Printing Office at http://bookstore.gpo.gov/. Type in the name of the book in the search area and click on "Search." GPO requires prepayment by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover) or personal check.
